Pre-submission (Regulation 14) Consultation

We are now seeking your views on the Pre-Submission Draft Neighbourhood Plan.
The consultation ends midnight 6 March 2022.
Information on how to respond is given in the pre-submission Summary Brochure When the plan has been assessed by an independent examiner, there will be a public referendum. If the Plan is adopted it will have the same legal status as the East Herts District Plan and will influence planning decisions impacting on the Watton-at-Stone Neighbourhood Plan area between 2022 and 2033.

The proposed houses at WAS 3 on the plan will lead to difficulty for all road users on Walkern road, the visibility splays up the fly over and speed of road is not suitable for an extra 100 plus cars per day .
I would suggest that a new access road to the houses is run along the side of plan ref LGS6 and a new junction created at the junction near WAS 4.
This would also allow for future development of the land adjacent to the railway and WAS4
There would then by no need to replace the bridge on the Walkern road. and the resultant traffic from WAS 3 and WAS 4 can be accommodated with ease as it can access the Watton at stone bypass at the exiting roundabout, this will also reduce the amount of traffic that would need to negotiate the corner at the old wagon and horses pub
