Trains
Watton-at-Stone railway station is part of the ‘Hertford Loop’ and the local service connects us with all stations to Moorgate and Kings Cross in one direction, and to Stevenage (on the main East Coast line) in the other direction. Stevenage provides connections to a variety of destinations.
There is a Ticket Office at our station although it is staffed on weekday-mornings only. However, tickets are also available from a machine adjacent to the office.
Unfortunately we do suffer from service-disruptions from time to time, mainly on Sundays, due to engineering works and have to use a rail-replacement bus service on the day.
Information about travel, destinations, fares, timetables and live departure/arrival information, etc., is readily available via the Ticket Office or by visiting the appropriate website.

The main bus route is the 390 which runs between Stevenage and Hertford, as does the less-frequent 383/384 that also takes in Ware. In addition, there is a 203 morning-service to Welwyn Garden City on Thursdays.
The 390 service also provides a connection to the Lister Hospital and schools.

Taxis
In addition to a locally run private-hire service within the village (01920 830394) there are numerous taxi/min-cab companies in the nearby towns.
