All of the village shops are located in the High Street and offer a good range of services.

Village Store

The village store is located to the rear of the Crumbs Bakery & Café and is open for long periods to serve the needs of the community. In addition to newspapers and magazines etc., the shop offers an extensive range of products, be they for the daily/weekly shop or for that last-minute convenience-purchase.

Post Office

Sandys is a small convenience store which is open from 0600 every day of the week until 1400 (1300 on Saturdays and Sundays) and is popular for those wishing to grab sandwiches, rolls and hot drinks; especially early in the morning.
In addition to selling sandwiches, rolls and hot drinks, there is a selection of soft drinks, newspapers, magazines, tobacco goods and confectionery, as well as other miscellaneous items.

Bridget’s is owned and operated by a local farming-family who sell direct to the public via their traditional butcher’s shop in our village. The family also has an on-site shop at Sacombe Hill Farm.

The Emily Rose Hair and Beauty Boutique is next door to Bridget B’s and comprises a hair salon, nail salon and beauty salon, and offers a range of beauty services. The Boutique is open weekdays from Tuesday to Friday and on Saturdays.

Watton Nursery

The Watton Nursery is located on the Ware Road as you exit the village at the southern end of the High Street. The nursery is open all year round and offers a good range of fruit trees, shrubs, annual bedding plants and perennial varieties.

In addition to the shops and the nursery, there are local people who offer a range of services such as garden and property maintenance, painting and decorating, plumbers, electricians, driving tuition and so on.
