I am writing to let you know about planned closures on the A602 between Whempstead Road and Sacombe Farm, so that we can complete the resurfacing needed at the junctions. In order to minimise the disruption as far as possible, we have planned these works for the weekends as traffic levels are lower.
The dates for the closures are:
Saturday 12 March 6.30am to Monday 14 March 5am
Saturday 19 March 6.30am to Monday 21 March 5am
Saturday 26 March 6.30am to 9pm
Advance notice signage is in place on the A10, A602, A119 and A1(M) as well as other routes on the road network, with electronic Variable Messaging Signs also used at key locations. Information regarding the closure timing is posted on our website at www.hertfordshire.gov.uk/a602. If the surfacing work finishes early, we may be able to open the roundabout earlier than advertised.
I am sorry for the inconvenience that the closures may cause and we appreciate your patience while we complete these works.
PLEASE NOTE:
Heath Mount school will be accessible from the A119/A602 roundabout direction. There will be no access from the Tonwell end.
They have been mucking around with a existing R/A for months
With diversions and closures.
I now have to use every weekend the A1M A414 to Hertford before I can get onto the A10.
Causing extra R/T journey time, extra mileage, and with the increase in fuel cost a considerable amount of extra money
