The Tennis Club was formed in the late 1970s and at that time was unique in its league by not having its own courts. Therefore, private courts at Crowbury and Heath Mount School were used.

This continued to be the case until 2 floodlit Tennis Courts were established on the Multi-Purpose Play Area (MPPA), which was constructed on the Sports Field in 1984 by the Parish Council.

Despite some early ups and downs, the MPPA has enabled the Tennis Club to develop and grow into the successful club that it is today. The club has a strong junior-section and an established coaching programme for all age groups.

The Tennis Club is affiliated to the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).
