The Watton-at-Stone Flower Club was formed in 1978, with 140 people at the inaugural meeting; several of whom are still regular members.
The club has a varied programme of activities, including:
- Flower-arrangers who visit to demonstrate their skills
- Do-it-yourself workshops
- Speakers on various different subjects connected with flowers and plants.
- Annual outings to such places as Hampton Court, Capel Manor and the RHS Garden at Hyde Hall.
With the exception of August and December, the club meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 1945 in the War Memorial Hall.
Refreshments and a sales table of floral mechanics (e.g. oasis, ribbons, baskets ,etc.) are available at every meeting and, twice a year, a plant stall and a bring-and-buy stall are included.
